18-year-old Kale has just left the nest. Facing the typical challenges of work, dating, and furniture, he meets Buddy, a mysterious older neighbor, who marvels at how the world has changed for young gay men. As their platonic friendship grows, strange coincidences pile up, and Kale begins to dig into his own family’s past. Can Kale find the piece that’s been missing from his family before it’s too late?
